2008

Interesting year. It definitely was different!

January, I learned how to snowboard, and met Josh (good friend, and snowboard instructor!)
I also got laid off from House of Knives... which turned out to be just the push I needed to get back into school.

February, I started working at Gallery Indigena on Granville Island, and partook in even more snowboarding!

March, meant more snowboarding! I got to meet up with my friends `Raine and Liz, as well.

April, sadly, meant the end of the snowboarding season!

May, meant we began to get really busy again at work.

June, I was flown out to Stratford Ontario, to my boss's main gallery with a coworker, I met lots of great people, was amazed at how flat it is out there and on the flight home, I got to see all of Canada... because there was nary a cloud in the sky the ENTIRE flight home, it was incredible.

July, I was in hell, because of Janet and the hell she put us all through in the workplace.

August, she finally left, and I decompressed and got ready training Betty to take over my position when I was in school and not there to do it.

September, I started school and kept on doing my job because Betty was basically unable.

October, same as September, although I had a freaking -amazing- Thanksgiving dinner at the boss's condo with my friends Alex, Nicole, and my boss... Alex cooked, it was amazing, and I must eat more of his food throughout my life, or I will be very sad indeed! lol

November, the due dates of all my term papers etc came to a head and the wrap up of the fall semester.

December, the finals, the grades, the good grades I might add, a trip to Spokane WA where I got to meet up with one of my other good friends who I haven't seen in 5 yrs, and it was very very cold. (So cold the Jeep doors froze shut). I brought back another good friend I have reconnected with from WA and he ended up being stranded here due to snowstorms which oddly enough seem to occur, whenever we hang out. LOL I was completely broke at Christmastime, and got told that I would be laid off in January when I went back to school, 2 days before Christmas. Happy Holidays! LOL My mom however, is incredible and she rescued me. As such I have decided to make sure that I do my very best in the spring, and its super exciting because I will be able to focus -solely- on my schoolwork! *huge grin* I am stoked for the spring semester. If I'm lucky, I'll even get to see Josh, and fit in some Jan-March snowboarding as well! ;)

Heaps o' love. Its been an interesting year.
