Hooray, an A!
So, since my womens studies course had its final exam early, and then an oral presentation for the final class, our grade was posted early! I have an A!!!
2 more exams to write and those are on the 10th!
Work has been ...interesting. For the weekend I went over to the boss's condo and helped cook dinner with Alex. Always a fun evening, get to spend time with the person who is quite easily probably my best friend here in Vancouver, and there's good food to boot! Can't beat good food, good friends, good times!
Sunday though I wanted a break, but couldn't leave because I was told "I will be furious with you, if you leave now Tami" --so I was stuck!
Monday I spent almost the entire day there cooking, because I was helping him cook for a dinner party, of 12 people, (not including us) ...and then Tuesday we hung out and his mom and I made him go take a nap while her and I cleaned the condo up. I also tried to cook dinner for them, because he's always cooking for me, and I figured rather than the boss coming home and asking him what he was making for dinner that night too, that I'd simply cook something and let him have a break! However I didn't get to cook what *I* wanted to cook. I was told what type of pasta to get, what type of pesto sauce to get, etc etc. Zero creative energy went into that dinner, so I was a tad peeved about that but whatever, I'll get over it.
Wednesday I went to work but it was a frustrating as all hell day, however he and I went out for lunch and then he came home with me because he was borrowing my Jeep. Thursday was rough... really rough. I felt like putting my head through a wall, because work was just so damn stressful. It just felt like everything was ...off. And then my friend in Washington's ex wife was harassing me via txt msg too. I got to come home on time though, so that was good!
Today I woke up and went in to work as well, and again it wasn't the best of days. Alex's mom asked me to txt him later on in the day and just make sure he was still alive. I think his cell phone is dead though. I txt'd him and called him and there was no answer. The worrying part about this is that thus far, the running track record seems to be that something bad happens to Alex, each time he's on the Island, with one of my Jeeps. First time was his camping trip when he had the green Jeep, and he missed a bunch of ferries, cell phone died, and we ended up filing a Missing persons report on him (which we all laugh about now!) The 2nd trip he was in the Green Jeep over there for work, and he ended up giving himself a concussion. (another hilarious story, at least I think so!) Here's hoping he's managed to keep himself safe in the Black Jeep! LOL
Although so far, no returned txt msgs or phone calls. Which is alright because to be fair, he's home Saturday, so we should all be fine, and we'll all try not to overreact this time if he comes home late, and we'll all try to not file missing persons reports on him *laughs*
So yeah, last night I was feeling down and so I drank a bottle of white wine, and served myself up some ice cream (Chocolate Mint Ice Cream and Mint Ice Cream blended with Chocolate Fudge Crackle) and poured an ice cream scoop of Scotch over top of it. Oh it was heavenly! I ended up in the bathtub though and I know this sounds random, but I am mentioning it because halfway through my bath when I was talking to Mandy in Ohio, it was like I "woke up" and all of a sudden I realized "Hey, I'm in the bath!? Why am I in the bath? How did I end up here?" which was a rather surreal experience, and to be fair even now that I am sober, I am still not sure how it is that I ended up in the tub! LOL
But yeah, work today was pretty rough again, there appears to be some major communication problems via one person (the boss) she saw an email about the website and all she saw was the $500 and then she was all "Don't go getting me into something that's going to cost me a lot of money" and I was trying to explain to her that we don't need to set it up like that, and just UGH!!!!
It is wow, one week away! One week from now, I'll be going to Washington! One week from now, I hope to GOD that I will be snowboarding! That is one of my top priorities!!!! Although after checking the websites for the 2 Mountains near Spokane, and even Mt. Baker, as well as our local Coastal mountains, its beginning to look like I may have to make a special day trip up to Whistler if I want to go boarding anytime soon!!!!
I hope the snow hits the mountains soon! I am tired of seeing naked mountains!
