There's a pair of green sneakers in the trash bin.

I will not apologize for the juvenile behavior. I threw away my pair of green Gazelles after I found out someone in the family washed it while I was away in Quezon.

I've been vocal about my dislike to having my shoes washed. Most of my sneakers are filthy little things that are not welcome in decent society: I happen to like them that way.

Another reason why I insist that the Gazelles should not be washed is that washing ruins the suede. Soft, velvety leather becomes this rough, brittle thing after washing, it's just plain ugly. And it does not go back to its original texture, ever.

So bye-bye, green Gazelles. I loved you since the day I bought you and I enjoyed every time I put you on.

I need to have a beer now.
