Procrastination is what keeps the Communists at bay
Things that made today better:
1) The weather. I am officially a fan of this whole warm, sunny thing. Please keep it up world.
2) Iced coffee. Don't know why I find it so much more exciting than my normal addiction but there you have it. Maybe it's the fact that I get to drink it through a straw. Or the fact that ordering iced coffee means it's Officially Spring.
3) Justin Long (the "I'm a Mac" guy) wants to take John Hodgeman (the "I'm a PC" guy) and "cradle him and give him gentle kisses." Yeah, I kid you not. THEIR LOVE IS PURE. Pure and gay. Pure gay.
4) I was watching "Safe" while I ate my lunch earlier (just a salad; we're watching Supersize Me in my Sociology class and I never want to eat anything fried or salty or baked or at all ever ever again) and it is so gay, it makes me gayer just watching it. I mean, the whole rescuing the damsel in distress Simon thing is pretty gay on its own but I think my favorite part is when Inara is all "You know where we can get medical help!" And Mal is all "Yes, I know, that beautiful piece of man meat we left on the dirt planet can mend bodies and souls with one touch but we left him and that's that, no matter how much we love him we cannot just fly back and cradle him and give him gentle kisses!" And Inara is like "... I was talking about the Alliance." Gays! In! SPAAAAACE!
5) I saw the guy who parks his sherbet cart in front of Fordham doing the Muslim prayer to Mecca thing on a piece of cardboard between two parked cars yesterday. I'm an atheist and usually I'm really just not that interested in religious practices but his little bowing thing was really peaceful and cool looking. Also I just liked it cause he was like "I don't need no stinking place of worship, I get my worship on IN THE STREETS." If more religions were cool and individual like that, I think I would be less creeped out by them.
Bad things:
1) They're turning the water off in my dorm from nine at night to seven in the morning tomorrow and Thursday. And I mean they're turning EVERYTHING off, even the toilets. It's going to be really awkward. Why is Fordham so terrible at everything? Could they be less organized if they tried? It seems unlikely and I think extremely potent hallucinogens would have to be involved.
2) So. Much. Work. Please just kill me now. Dropping out and working at the sherbert cart is looking better everyday.
3) I haven't started my Women and Film papers yet. Effective time management is for chumps!
