weird christmas
So this christmas was fairly good but sort of odd. My nanny appears to be slipping a bit in the world of reality, which is expected all things considering with her health. But the entire night she kept telling me how she missed her dog, (the one we are now taking care of because it attacked my aunt twice), and that my aunt gave it to us because she was too firm with it. So anyways, I didn't try to argue with her about it, because she would just forget what I said within 5 minutes, but it is sad that she doesnt understand what actually happens so much anymore. She even called me cousin, the little girl, and couldn't remember her name, which is understandable cause she is bad with names now especially, but I wonder when I will become "that man". However, there was a glimpse of positivity when she grabbed my face, told me how handsome I am, and that Id be even more handsome if I shaved off my facial hair and got rid of my piercings. She also said "I know ive said this before", which is nice to hear that she remembers telling me about something.
Another weird thing was that I got my Stella's T4 in the mail, and they marked it down that I would not be returning, and the reason being that I had quit. This was a bit odd considering that I had not quit, and this T4 was done up in the last week of November and I have worked at Stella's all through December and my last shift there to date was on the 23rd of December. So essentially, I have to call payroll on Monday and figure this shit out. They are either laying me off cause there are no hours, (me and a few servers are only getting one shift a week practically - if that), or someone fucked up. I talked to one of my co-workers and they said they wouldn't do that to me, especially since they havn't talked to me about anything, and I saw the server manager twice this week and she never mentioned to me about me "quitting" ot not returning. At any rate, i'm probably going to look for a new serving job that pays better tips anyways, because I've been at Stella's for 6 months now, and I need to make money!
