It just struck me that making new friends, or getting closer to people you've just met, is much like a crush or starting a relationship with someone. Albeit without the wanting to snog and get in each other's pants of course.
You meet someone new, and you really like this person. They're cute, they're funny, easy to talk to. You wanna spend more time with them. Friendship's so much like a relationship, just that at the start you can be so much more forward about it.
'I like you! Lets meet up more often.' No tangled does-he-like-me-toos, no having to play it cool.

Why can't liking someone be that easy and open? Isn't a relationship just a friendship with added benefits like cuddles and kisses and stuff? When does it become so complicated /:
