Still alive and kicking!
Hey all. Sorry it's been 3 whole months since I last posted. I promise that I'm still here, still kicking, and still working at this project.
Although I'm officially done with my internship, I am still continuing to do this project. My goal is to publish a book within the next 15 years, with the narratives that I have gotten and much more. Why will it take so long?
-I want at least one story from each of the 50 United States
-I dream of having one story from each of the 7 continents (not too sure about Antarctica though)
-I want to travel all over the country and the world, holding workshops, attending conferences, attending and holding lectures
Basically, I want a TON of stories before this book even pretends to be published. I want this thing to be HUGE, because it deserves to be. I want to collect as many stories as humanly possible, then add my own experiences and theoretical viewpoints, and some statistical information. I want the experiences to cover as many topics as possible, from as many different people as possible. And I want all forms of expression- narratives, interviews, poetry, artwork, photography, etc. I'm hoping to do some serious photography for this.
THIS IS A CALL TO THE WORLD- TAKE PART IN A PROJECT THAT WILL IMPACT EVERYONE. Sex is a part of human life. Let's share our own sexual experiences with the world. We can learn from each other. We can teach one another. We can prove that knowing the TRUTH about sex will make us MORE responsible about sex. Let's show the government that ignorance is NOT bliss.
I want an open conversation with the world. I want us all to talk to each other and to learn from each other. It can happen. It will happen. I will make it happen.
