Puck and Quinn's hotel room [Saturday morning]

When Noah woke up, there was a girl in his bed. And even if he thought girls were generally sort of icky, he decided not to throw anything at her or put something in her hair to wake her up or anything. Because his room had so much stuff in it! Like this giant remote for the TV

"That's loud," Quinn said drowsily as she sat up and stretched. "S'posed to get my beauty sleep...."

It was kind of weird Puck was in her room, but he wasn't doing anything gross (yet) so she wasn't too mad.

"You don't need beauty sleeps," Noah assured her. "Watch hockey with me! It's better'n sleep!"

And he would stick to that, because sleeping was dumb

"Maybe," Quinn drawled, rubbing a fist against her eyes. She'd been close to awake, anyhow. "What teams is it?"

That was always what her dad asked first.

Looking around, she added, "This is a really, really nice room. I bet it cost a billion dollars."

"Redwings and..." Puck studied the word carefully, decided he couldn't figure out how to say 'Phoenix' and went with, "Another red one. And this room probably did cost a billion dollars. My mommy would say s'a waste of moneys but she's not here."

"'Cause your mommy is poor," Quinn said, matter-of-factly. "My mommy would say sometimes you have to treat yourself. 'Sa special occ- occasion."

She only stumbled a little bit on that last word. Of course, defining the phrase would be a bit harder.

"Red's a good color."

"Your mommy is a snob," Noah said just as matter-of-factly. "I like red! S'my favorite color."

He eyed her suspiciously and added, "You prolly like pink better, 'cause you're a girl."

"No," Quinn corrected. "I like pink better 'cause pink is better. Everybody knows that."

Girls know that, Quinn.

"Red's okay."

"It's better," he insisted. "Pink is girly."

[chief_cheerio]

"Duh, but girls are better," Quinn insisted. "That's why we're the only ones allowed to wear pink, so there."

She herself was arrayed in a very fetching set of pink jammies with little flowers on them.
