Letters from family members on how Don't Ask, Don't Tell effect their family memebers:

A father of his son, "He is a brave young man and patriot"

A sister of her brother, "I wonder how lonely and alone my brother felt"

and a super touching letter from WWII, "We vowed we’d be together again “back home,” but fate knew better - you never got there.  And so, Dave, I hope that whereever you are these memories are as precious to you as they are to me."
