So, I am now living in Springfield, MO. Back in Missouri..yippee. Actually, it's not so bad here. I never would have moved back to the St. Louis area. I think it's more that I hate St. Louis rather than the state of Missouri.

I've been looking for a job here. I want a full-time job with benefits. I've been applying to various administrative jobs, but have heard nothing back. I attribute that to being underqualified for most of what I applied to.
I'm going to Florida with my mom to see my brother in a week, so I decided to wait until I get back to apply to anything else. It's really hard though, b/c I'm so bored.

I still haven't heard from the school about whether I've been accepted or not. I plan to call them after the Florida trip as well. I doubt that I got in though. My GRE scores were worse than I thought, and I didn't think I did good anyways.
I don't really care much though. It was hard enough for me to get through college. I was only going to go to grad school b/c I am living right near a school, and it would be another year or so of pushing myself and than that's it. And once it's over, it's over. Only a year or two. But hey, it seems that even if I got a MA in writing it would still be just as hard to find a job. Everyone wants experience and there's no where to go to get this experience. Feh.

I've been living here about a month, but I'm still adjusting to this being my actual 'home.' Moving is always weird b/c you feel out of place for months. It took me about 2-3 months to get used to living back in the Chicago area. It was difficult to leave b/c I was so used to seeing my mom and hanging out with my best friend from high school who just moved back to the states.
A lot of times I wish that I could live near everyone that I am close with. Even though that is so few people, I doubt it will ever happen. It is also probably better for me to establish a life on my own completely separate from my family. I think I've always needed that.
My brother's in Florida, my mom wants to leave the Chicago area, and my best friend is trying to get into grad school in Arizona. So even if I had stayed, people would be leaving me.
