(no subject)
hey all! I meant to put up these pictures quite some time ago, but I never got around to it. I was messing around with my paints one day and whipped this up in about 20 minutes, just for the fun of doing something that didn't require precision, or talent for that matter. Despite some flaws that I'd fix if I had to do it over again, I ended up liking it more than I thought I would, so I varnished it and took pictures so I could sell it on ebay (ha, I didn't like it that much).
Well, I had it out in the den and my mom's friend came by and noticed it. While she complimented it I played the usual modest part (because - yes, I know it's silly - I didn't want her to judge my talent on it since I didn't think it was all that great), saying I didn't like it, etc, and to my chagrin she said she'd like it since I didn't want it! Argh. Well, I could hardly say no, could I? But it's okay, because now it's in her FAB home in her hall (hardly prominent, but oh well). It's kinda cool that she likes it, because I've always thought that she was a cool, sophisticated sorta lady. :D And it's not like it would have sold for that much anyway. But anyway, here are the pictures. I'm afraid they aren't very good, because it's shiny and the light reflected off of it oddly. Also, the color seems duller in the pictures than it did in person. Oh well, on to the pics... (btw, it took about 10 min to size these suckers just right, so you all better appreciate this. *grumbles*)
I like the yellow flower the best. I might do something with the green background and the yellow flowers. hmm...
