[It was a long, hard, tiring night in the lab doing Science, and Ari is still contentedly sleeping.]

[For now, Iroh is just content to watch her, waiting for her to show signs of stirring before he leans in and lightly kisses her lips, unable to help himself any longer.]

[Ari shifts her head to the side in her sleep, now facing Iroh, and slowly opens her eyes as his lips softly touch hers. She smiles, and doesn't say anything aloud. The fond look in her eyes says all that needs to be spoken.]

[Smiling down at her with nothing but love and affection in his own eyes, he lightly runs a hand through the sleep-tousled locks of her hair, and leans in to kiss her again.]

Hello, sweet. Is it morning already?

[She reaches out lazily toward him to wrap an arm around his shoulders and pull him closer. Her lips touch his softly, and she smiles into the kiss.]

It is. Did you sleep well?

[With a delighted laugh, his arm curls around her as he leans over her, pressing his lips gently to hers and enjoying the closeness.]

I did, sweet. [She moves closer to his warmth, and turns on her side to curl more fully into his arms.] I usually do when you're here.

[Sliding down to rest more beside her than over her, he pulls her gently towards him and on him, allowing her hair to drape over his chest. Hi toys with it with one hand, the other still wrapped around her. He smiles, a little playfully.]

I'm very pleased to hear that. It gives me more of a reason to continue. And to insist you spend more time in bed with me.

[She smirks back at him and yawns, laying her face against his lovely warm chest, and trails her fingers across it and back to herself.]

Since when do you need a reason to continue, sweet? I would think my simple presence is usually more than enough for you.

[Ari kisses him teasingly right along the collarbone and smiles.]

[He leans up and places a kiss at the apex of her forehead.]

Good point.

[His hand continues to toy with her hair, trailing through it playfully while the other lightly goes up and down her spine.]

You seem to mind much less than you once would have.

[She shrugs lazily.]

I know a good thing when I see one, sweet. I'd be a fool to mind at this point. It's damned flattering anyway, so there you have it.

[Moving his lips a little lower, he kisses her cheek before lightly moving to and nuzzling her ear.]

I only flatter you with the truth.

[Ari smiles, amused, and brings a hand to his face, teasingly trailing her fingers down his cheek as his lips brush against her ear.]

All the better then, sweet...

[Smiling very tenderly at her, he runs his lips playfully over her ear, arms sliding over her shoulders and the back of her neck before slowly traversing the length of her spine.]

Mm... I certainly think so... though it can get better still.

[Very familiar and very content with the feeling of his warm, broad hands sliding down her back, Ari teasingly kisses his cheek and arches into the stroking.]

Can it, now? Show me what you had in mind, sweet, and I think that we can make it better for the both of us.
