Another day at work, woo-hah. A New Zealand couple who live and work in Miyazaki scared the hell out of the staff of the toy shop by asking them if they knew where the car keys they had lost somewhere in the airport last January were. The staff quickly called me over, and I proceeded to escort the couple to the information desk (where lost items are kept). Unfortunately, there was no record of any keys being found last January. Apart from that nothing particularly interesting happened. I'm going to a wedding tomorrow. A friend of mine from Kawaminami (where I used to live) is getting married here in the city-this means a lot of friends that I don't see too often anymore will be coming to the city tomorrow, which is cool. I'm giving the couple the standard 30,000 yen (roughly $280). You give money instead of gifts at a Japanese wedding, right. And you're not supposd to give money that is a number easially divisible by 2, because you don't want the couple to split up, of course! Should be fun, though it's supposed to rain tomorrow, and I'll be going by bike. Blah. Tonight I'm going to shoot pool with some guys from work. One of them lived in Vancouver for two years, and the other one does a lot of travelling-he just got back from backpacking around Europe, actually. I'm so jealous. One of these years I'll get out there...
