At work, as usual-I arrived back in Japan on March 7th, was in my own apt. by the end of March, but I still don't have internet there, so...I check mail and whatnot at work, when I can. Speaking of work, on April 1st I started a new job working for the Miyazaki airport. My official duties include helping lost foreigners and teaching English to the staff at the airport. That doesn't really keep me too busy though, considering that not many foreigners come through the airport, and I only teach English once a week (actually, that class hasn't even started yet). So I keep myself busy by working at information and working at the gift shops in the airport. I was working at a gift shop where I sold a lot of squid, sea urchin, and cold miso soup, but now I'm working at a different gift shop-the top seller there is mentaiko, which are fish eggs cured with red pepper. I've been doing Japanese calligraphy for awhile now, and my work actually is allowing me to continue doing it-a few people in the design department study it because they have to do it at work occasionally-they invited me to take part in it-so every Wednesday around noon I'll be heading out for a few hours to do calligraphy-I must say I'm quite happy about this.
Aight, gotta go to the gift shop.
