Personality:
Something that Lexi herself says is the perfect way to describe her: she delights in hedonism. Unlike Stefan, she enjoys a good time. She isn’t afraid to get a little wild now and then - hell, or more than now and then. She doesn’t hesitate if something seems dangerous or wrong or un-pc. She’s not concerned with that. She’s lived long enough that it doesn’t matter to her, anymore. She’s there in life for a good time. She’s there to enjoy herself.
Unlike Stefan, she also doesn’t hate what she is. She’s at piece with it. When she travels, she brings a trunk of blood bags. She doesn’t drink from humans directly, though, and that’s important. She isn’t bothered by being a vampire. She likes it. A lot. It also factors into her enjoying herself because to Lexi, being a vampire is fun. Also, despite Damon, she doesn’t think being a vampire makes her better than humans. She sees herself as an outsider, sure, (it’s a drag to not be able to go outside during the day) but she doesn’t loathe what she is. Lexi likes to think she’s both the good and the bad of a vampire rolled into one - where Damon is all the bad parts of being a vampire.
While she likes to have fun, she also has a mean temper. She’s still a monster. That’s inherent in her now. So pissing her off or attacking her is a bad, horrible, no good move and it usually ends in violence.
She protects those she cares about. She threatens Damon with physical violence when there’s a chance that Stefan could be hurt as a result of one of his plots. She loves Stefan unconditionally and platonically. And as a result, she cares about his happiness. This is why she checks in every now and then and this is why she meddles in his and Elena’s relationship.
Next to Stefan, Lee is the most important person in her life. It doesn’t matter that he’s human because to her love conquered all when it came to them. He is her forever and her always. Eventually, she turned him, too, so she could be with him forever.
Damon, she hates. She utterly hates him. She knows Damon promised his brother an eternity of misery and he has paid in full so far. Anybody that can cause her best friend that much happiness will never be an ally to her. If it came down to it, she’d stake him in a second but Damon is still Stefan’s brother.
She doesn’t really know Elena but the girl has good taste and she’s nothing like she’s heard Katherine was like so that’s a point in her column. They get along real well. And she trusts Stefan’s judgment. By proxy, she’s a fan of Elena. And that friendship definitely has the chance to grow.
Someone that has to be mentioned, despite Lexi never meeting her, is Katherine. She despises Katherine to her core - more than Damon. In her eyes, Katherine broke Stefan and caused the entire debacle that is Damon and Stefan’s skewed relationship. If she ever meets Katherine in person, she has no idea what she’s going to say but Lexi believes Katherine died in the fire. And she really, really prefers it that way.

Third Person Sample:
Lexi avoided one brother most of the night. She purposefully said nothing to him when he passed and tried to be cordial. Right this second, she was proud of those instincts. Her mind swirled as she was dragged out of the Grill. It was the vervain. She recognized the familiar feeling, the weakening of her muscles. The best thing she could do was lull them into a false sense of security. They would pay.
She wasn’t a violent person. But, when it came to defending herself, she wouldn’t hesitate. Because, though difficult the task, they’d woken up her inner beast. They’d successfully pissed her off. She sent one officer into a police car and the other in another direction before turning to the sheriff. The sheriff let off a shot. The bullet hurt but it wasn’t stopping her. She was old. Strong. And she had business to attend to. Screw them for ruining her good time.
And it had been a good time! She had gotten through to Elena! Stefan was smiling. They? Were ruining that. Lee wouldn’t be proud and that gave her pause. Only a moment’s pause. This bitch deserved what she got. She didn’t know what she had done. Apparently, enjoying herself was a crime.
What she wasn’t expecting was the stake to her gut. What she also wasn’t expecting was the vampire holding the stake.
“Why…” was only the beginning. The betrayal she felt was deep - not that she’d ever felt close to Damon. Not that she hadn’t threatened him only a day before - but this? This she didn’t deserve. She didn’t have enough time to connect the dots, to see that she had been framed, that this was all a part of his plan. No, her life was being taken away from her. Her body was drying out, hardening.
