HI GUYS
when i'm not talking about ladies i'm trying to think about them--dancing.
i was invited to DJ a halloween party on the 27th, and to be honest, i am nervous! i feel like i don't have the required tools (and in some way, i don't). not sure how i'm going to get everything together, but i am still planning. i hope to scrape something worthy of a DJ set in the next week or so. i don't think it's going to be the best DJ set ever.. i haven't mixed a DJ set in, over a year? i don't have enough records so i'm trying to borrow / POSSIBLY buy serato scratch and put it on my wonky work ibm laptop and get PA speakers and blah blah list goes on.
i sort of always wanted to try to maybe get into DJ'ing again, but i feel like i do not yet have the setup i'd want ($$$$) to start practicing. its weird.. i almost stopped doing anything with a turntable completely, then finally found a reason to keep on practicing! i still kinda suck, but its fun. i can't say how much fun, you wouldn't understand. i often wish i didn't have a job to pursue lofty goals. anyway-- yeah, DJing in front of people. haven't done it in a while. this time it's going to be a fairly big group. i need to go practice..
ps: sorry, i can't invite many people to this party. don't think i'm a bad friend. i'm trying to invite a few select (ladies) who may be interested in jello wrestling and see me (halfassed) DJing.
