"One of my first tech jobs was with a large hardware company supporting customers using their CD catalog (before everyone had internet access). Most of the calls were from janitors and maintenance engineers, so they were really eassy to help... No "knowledge" getting in the way. One day this younger so9unding lady called, and as I went through the basic troubleshooting steps, she started on me with the "I have a college education and know how to use a computer" attitude. No matter what I tried, it didn't work, and she relished in being a cock about it. The last thing that I could think of to get her CD drive to read the disc was "Ok, open the CD tray and look straight downat the disc... tell me what you see". She answers "I see me!"
