[ He leans against the large door at his back, idly thumbing the strange device in his hand.
The sun is wrong, at an odd angle, meaning that his flight took him away from Japan at the very least.
But there is an oddness in the air, and something tastes wrong. Smells wrong. He would have picked up on it even as a human. In a breath, he tries

...... That voice. It was one that Minato had known well, all too well. At times it even sounded similar to his own. And to hear it again here?]

He really was here now. It was unmistakable. Minato picked up his comm device now, holding it in both of his hands.]
... Ryoji?

He looked at the screen, and could not help thinking that the boy's colors were wrong. Too much blue and gray and...]
Who...are you? You know my name...why?
[ It was not what he wanted to say, but his thoughts were too jumbled, caught between a dorm full of ex-friends and a boy that looked...looked like him.
He stared at the screen, shaking off his confusion and plastered on a smile. ]
Sorry - [ A laugh ] - That was rude. I would like to know your name, though.

Minato's thoughts raced back. There wasn't any reason he could think of as to why Ryoji wouldn't remember, but... Oh. Wait, there might have been one possible reason. But he thought perhaps he could clear it up by answering Ryoji's question. Or he hoped it wouldn't make it more confusing. Which it might.
Being in Wonderland already would lend itself to an explanation. Along with everything else accompanying it. Minato did owe him one after startling him.]
... It's okay. I'm Minato. Arisato Minato.

Might as well roll out the welcome mat, though.]
Welcome to the club, dude. It ain't exactly gonna be peaches and cream from here on out.
[Dean purses his lips thoughtfully.]
So which high-schooler are you? Grumpy, Sleepy, or Puberty?

I...well, if I had to choose, and the role is not yet filled, I would prefer to be Charming...y. Though, upon second thought, that does not quite roll off the tongue the way I had hoped.
[ He raises his free hand to his chest, smiling pleasantly.]
Are you the owner of this - [ Looks around ] - establishment? I'd like to apologize for dropping in unannounced. Since...I guess this is a high school...would it be alright if I borrowed an empty dorm room until I'm able to get out of your hair?

[Dean stretches his arms above his head and gives Scarfy a good, long look. Who in their right mind would think this was a high school?]
This is Wonderland, not a school. It's like a-
[Crap. Describing this place is hard.]
...kinda like limbo. Ish. Let's just say you ain't in Kansas anymore, Dorothy.

And that...I would like to say that surprises me, but it honestly doesn't. There's something weird about this place. I've never actually visited limbo, but I've always wondered...
[ His eyes cloud, before he drags his gaze over the man on the screen. ]
But, not everyone here is dead, are they?

He decides that it's better to still send Ryoji a voice message than a video one. His injuries were still healing. There wasn't any need to cause the newcomer any alarm, was there?]
Hey! Welcome! Has anybody told you where you are yet?
[And while giving the kid a voice only transmission was suspicious, he still feels it's the better move here. He's talented enough to pull off a soothing voice even while giving his gun a poignant look.]

Hi there! Thank you for the warm welcome.
[A pause.]
As far as I can tell, I appear to be in limbo. I'd rather not waste your time, but if you have any tips for me, I certainly would not refuse them.
[ He smiled, forgetting briefly that he could not be seen. ]

[There's a pause as he rubs at his head.]
You think this is limbo, huh? Well, from the stuff I've heard, you're not too far off. But I'd like to think of this place just as Wonderland, a world away from home. Only with good food and good showers! It's not a false advertisement at all, at least, on my end.
Haha. Um, well, to be honest, I've only been here for a little over a week. But I'm a detective back where I'm from, so I've picked up some facts here and there. Oh, and don't worry about wasting my time. It's not like I have much to do here anyway. May as well spend my time getting to know someone, you know?
Is there anything you'd like to know specifically? It's hard to know where to start from otherwise!

I'll admit, Wonderland sounds a bit more pleasant than Limbo. The latter has far too many implications attached to it for my tastes.
[He adjusts the comm in his hand as he gathers his thoughts. He likes food, but gaining access to it is not much of a priority, and judging by the stream of messages coming in through the phone-like device, company, were it desired, would not be much of an issue.
He looks up, thinking.]
This probably sounds like the least useful first question imaginable, but is there a way to get up on the roof of this place?

[A pause.] Are you looking for someone specific?

He mentally shakes himself. ]
No, I was not seeking any particular person, but I thank you for your interest.
[ He pauses. Considers.]
Would it be alright if I asked how many people are here? I have talked with a few, but I'm afraid I don't fully understand this place yet.

Do they have anything in common? Is there something that ties all of this place's...guests...together?
