95% of the storeroom made it out to my new home today, and sheesh you can tell I have/had multiple hobbies. My hoarder tendency that I work on keeping under control is a little obvious (to me at least). I have found watching the UK hoarder series has helped ...the one where the hoarder meets with a psych specialist & they get a couple expert-with-hoarder declutterers to help the person get started tackling their chosen focus room/s.
Given mum is a serious level hoarder and I recognise that I have my own attachment issues to items, I like the fact that everything is now inside my home. I want to have friends over for meals/sewing/social stuff so for me that is motivation to cull my stuff back so that there is no room of shame, even if I'm never so neat as to be in Vogue Living.
I got 3 half teachests unpacked tonight despite being exhausted. Too tired for my day so think my blood test in 3-ish weeks will show I'm either borderline anaemic or non-anaemic iron depleted. Or both.
Time to put a heatpack on my neck & have a glass of wine.
(Whispers: I found 2 lots of videotapes that I thought I'd thrown away a handful of years ago. Resolved that!)
