A whole lot of nothing

Feels like that's about all I've done.

Though I had a good day on Saturday, possibly cos I was home sick on Wednesday and slept most of the day. I managed to get laundry caught up, the groceries bought and have a nap.

Sunday I saw the Dr to check my iron, vit d levels and he's checking to see if I have active glandular fever. I also caught up with a friend of mine (on LJ I refer to her as Ripley). A long time tuesday movie nighter (pre-millenium) and gateway friend to the orphan's xmases. She had emergency surgery on 11th April, and was in & out of Intensive Care and surgery, came far too close to death and spent 5.5 weeks in hospital.  She's now in a physical rehab hospital, and has to work on muscle strength/stamina so she's safe to go home.  She was already slim & as she lost so much weight that its scary to see (ethiopia or biafra famine level).

Sunday i had to cook all the things. I roasted a small chook, and some turkey drumsticks. For meals & soups. I also started the chicken mince part of my grand plan to make the bastard child of lasagna.  I can't have gluten, tomato or red meat. So standard lasagna is out for me.  faerie-mistress made me (at least once) a chicken version using thin slices of pumpkin instead of pasta.  I'm going to make a curry version, using large rice paper roll sheets.   :D   I can have aged cheese so it's going to be interesting. I'll add some sliced mushrooms to it too.  So Sunday night I picked the curry paste to use - butter chicken - and cooked the chicken mince with it.

Last night, made up time at work and then crashed when I got home.

I'm meeting medusafox for movie night as she's in town.

This week my domestic chores are to
~ fold the 3 loads of washing on my armchair of doom.
~ Sort/cull/put away the patterns nesting on the foot of my bed
~ cull/put away the sewing things between armchair and bed
~ take a couple pairs of shoes to the repair shop
~ sort/cull/clean the pillowcase of items I brought upstairs from the grotto

And I really and truly should tackle the top of my bookcase (sort my jewellery out) and the clutter of things on top of my dressing table. Where clutter = cull and find proper homes for the non-culled.

waffling about nothing, decluttering
