a hopefully cooler fabric substitute
I'm making Katrina van Tassel's windmill costume for a Tim Burton themed party at the end of October, and have the screen accurate jacket fabric. But it'll be a bit too warm, and dare I admit it "precious" to use for my podgy self.
So I'm making a trial run, using this striped corduroy from FFC #23171
Being 100% cotton it will be cooler than the upholstery velvet and it's not a competition or a place where I'll be scrutinized & judged badly. So yay for trial run costumes. If it works out really well, then I can use the real thing for a winter event when overheating won't be such a high risk.
