I'm bagging up stuff (supermarket reusable bags) to go back down to the storage room. fabrics, bustle pads, sewing stuff, chemises, sheets (linen cupboard is down there), corset boning etc. The supermarket bags are great for this cos I don't pack them too heavy for my tennis elbow to bitch over. :) Although half of this doesn't have a designated home once I get it down there so in a way I'm adding to the red hot mess. Although my plan is to finish upstairs and move onto downstairs.
Pic to show scale size of said bags.
I'm dithering about whether to finish cutting out the skirt part of my red bustle dress. Part of me says for goodness sake have all the skirt cut out and pack the rest. Another part of me says 'why must you always overthink things' and sighs dramatically. There's also a cut out flannellette nightie and I'm going to sew that before I pack it away. It's fully cut out and a lot less work than a bustle skirt & top! Plus not contributing to the UFO list.
Oh, dagnabbit my regency saque hat is half done. Will put that in my UFO pile as I won't need it this year.
I also found the 2 replacement cotton sheers for my main room. I'd best get those hemmed & hung up, another UFO to cross off the ticky list that I forgot to put it on.
On the good side, my dentist is letting me pay off my new custom mouthguard aka chewie. At $700 it's a relief cos my tax return is that much but I wanted to use it for flights and now also a couple of aneboda drawers for the grotto. They'll fit back to back under the cutting table. So one side is going to be patterns and the other side costume pieces that are best stored flat & not hanging ... chemises/stays/reticules etc.
