I decided that one possible reason for procrastination was overthinking things. I came home with a decision to re-draft my bib front dress from either my Past patterns dress pattern or my period impressions polonaise - georgian dress I used to draft my open robe. Except that i compared my part made cotton bib front dress to the PP dress and went, huh, it should actually work. So I started cutting out & sewing the pink cotton/silk spotted voile. Using leftover hanky linen to line the bodice. Already had to unpick 2 seams cos of sewing upside down or inside out. {foreheaddesk}.
Just got a smidge of hand sewing to do on the bib part ( as well as re-cut another side binding bit as I made a hole in the left one while unpicking. The rest of the bodice is almost assembled .. would have been done apart from unpicking issues.
Tomorrow night sleeves and cutting out the skirt, waistband/tie thingy.
I'm telling myself done is better than perfect, cos perfection has paralysed me. well that plus paralysis by analysis ... analysis in the pursuit of perfection.
I even have a pic to post but photobucket is down for maintenance. boo hisss.
