The colonial ball was fun, even though I only risked doing one dance, it was the delightfully named Princess Polka. I'm hoping one day I can do more dancing, walking etc without consequences not to be detailed.
Most of the people were there for the dance, with costume as an after thought. Some very afterthought indeed. Including one woman happy to share that her dress was a flannellette nightgown cos it had lace trim on the bodice. I shall let you imagine the personal opinions of the costume posse were somewhat snarkified. It's an australian colonial ball, so 1800s themed, and they were hoping to have a strong regency theme this year.
My camera is being silly. It's insisting the battery is nearly flat when it's just been recharged. I'm contemplating dropping it from a height onto a hard surface. That I didn't think to get a group photo is my own fault. As is not getting a pic of me on my onesies.
I did remember the obligatory shoe shot :)
Thanks to luv2costume here's a nice group pic
