I won an ebay auction for an older style sewing table, I think it's 1970s. I wish there was a pic of me on the train with it, or on the bus, for all the world with my portable table and oblivious to the odd stares.
Here it is with my sewing machine - I'm going to use it for my sewing machine cos the edges are nice and clean. Oh yeah, pics or it didn't happen.
I switched the table I already had (also an ebay find) over for my overlocker. It was on a small folding table, and this is better. More room to put fabric on. I've thought about getting a new top for it, as the particle-board doesn't have teh sides covered, and it's flaking away. I could also get some vinyl and cover it, but that might interfere with the drawer opening.
The good thing is that as they're both on wheels, I can roll them out of the kitchen if I'm baking or if like this arvo I'm going to bake some sweet potato fries. Home made :) mhhhh I might bake some purple carrots & more sweet potato so I can make a delicious soup for dinner.
and the sewing trolley I got from Spottie on Friday, looks much prettier in photo than reality. Up close the plaid is ugh & coarse, but it was a reasonable price, ie cheap at 50% off and much easier to haul sewing things in. Cos it's a dense pack of fabric/pattern/sewing tools the lower centre of gravity is easier to manouver than the shopping bag on wheels.
Time to do dishes, make sweet potato nommies and get the bias binding onto the neckline of chemises.
