too tired to sew last night
Last night I wanted to go to bed when I got home, so I didn't risk sewing cos of the danger of stoopid. I'm creating a new upstairs 'pile o stuff' that needs to be culled & organised. In it is the stays pattern pieces I need for later this week. I gotta get busy on it & thankfully already know it'll be quick to sew once I get the pattern sized up to fit me.
Tonight I'm going to the opening of an art exhibition of a friend of a friend. I love Nick's work, so am only too willing to be a +1. I'll get home too late to stitch, but I can press the last seams & pin the collar in ready to sew tomorrow.
I really need to book Baby in for a repair/service, as it's been almost a year since I had to swap her out for Mini-baby. I've been thinking of doing it since I got my contract job & now I don't have to pay for an MRI, I can relax the purse strings enough to do that. I celebrated that news by ordering my own copy of Fashioning Fashion from Amazon.co.uk as they have free shipping of orders over L25 to Australia. It was a smidge under that so I also got Jane Austen Fashion: Fashion and Needlework in the Works of Jane Austen . Book Depository UK is usually my go to place for books, but this time both these books are still less than BD's price. My local library wanted their copy of Fashioning Fashion back :(
My shoes arrived from Evans and I think I could have ordered a size smaller in the brown canvas flats. I'll have to pad out the toes, or order another pair! nope the smaller sizes are sold out, padding it is.
