I had 3 parcel notices in a couple of days so went to fetch them after work, expecting my goatsmilk soap to be one of them.
wahh my soap isn't here yet. :-( silly post office
What was at the post office was (1) my red silk fabric for my open robe (need to do a burn test cos I don't think it's silk. that's why I don't pay big bucks), (2) my black lace fabric from the states & a couple of metres of red silk ribbon, and (3) my flat pink shoes, that aren't exactly ideal for regency, but given my difficulty getting shoes they'll do mighty fine.
So still en route are my soaps, and the cook book I bought from england "Margaretta Acworth's Georgian cookery book".
Not in the happiest mood, I took the option of retail therapy of something already in the pipeline. My monthly book, but a week early. I decided to pre-order
Seventeenth-Century Women's Dress Patterns: book 1 (140ish days til publishing date) cos I don't want to miss out on getting this quickly. I also got the reprint of Linda Baumgarten's
Costume Closeup cos it was discounted 10%.
My current wishlisty books are:

Oh, and the return of tennis elbow .... it isn't the same muscle as in April. That was from my elbow to my wrist. This is from my elbow up to the shoulder, but inflammed, swollen and on the outside of my elbow. mutter mumble mumble.
