OH SHI It's 2009

Jan 01, 2009 00:50

I do a post every year at around midnight to talk about new years shit, so here is this year's.

Overall, 2008 didn't suck that much, there were definitely some very low lows, but I think they were out numbered by a lot of fabulous highs(not drug related). I can only hope that 2009 brings ever more great things.
So I found this questionnaire thing on Tumblr, so I think I'll post it here.

* What was the best thing that happened to me this year?
Probably going to Europe, getting into college, and meeting David. I think meeting David is the best though...but Europe was pretty fucking awesome.
* What did I do this year that I’m really proud of?
I finally got a 5 on an AP test, and I got two of them! Also getting into college, anddd doing pretty well my senior year.
* Who did I really help?
I don't really know how to answer this, cause honestly I don't know who I helped. I guess I could say the people at the hospital I volunteered at? I dunno, I think I should work on having a definitive answer for next year.
* Who do I need to thank and acknowledge for having been there for me?
My mom, even though I can get really angry with her, she is almost always therefore for me. And my friends and David.
* What are the top three lessons I learned?
1. I need to accept that my dad is an asshole, and will never be different, but he still loves me in his own way.
2. Take chances, if you don't try it, you will never know what might have happened.
3. It's not always a bad thing to let things come to you, rather than always seeking them out.
* What increased my happiness and joy this year?
1.David
2.David
3.David
4.Being away from my parents, I love being on my own.
5. Bike riding, it's pretty calming sometimes.
* What’s something I got through that was really tough?
When my dad and I had a huge fight, and I wasn't sure I'd ever talk to him again. Also that whole blood clot thing, lol.
* What did I avoid that I must pay more attention to in 2009?
My health, I need to sleep better(on a regular normal hours schedule), eat better, exercise more, and be more responsible when it come to taking my medication daily.
* What character trait did I develop most this year?
The ability to just let things go, it's a good and bad thing.
* What new people did I meet that are now in my life?
David, Colleen, Lynn, and other college people.

New Years Resolutions:

Last year it was to lose weight, which I have, so that one is accomplished.

This year's resolutions are:
1.Continue to lose weight, hopefully 50-80 pounds
2. Do my homework in a timely manner, and get good grades.
3. Go to bed at a reasonable hour each night, and avoid sleeping days away.
4. Eat better and exercise more.
5. Don't fuck up my relationship with David, because I feel like our relationship could go far.
6. Be a better daughter to my mom, and visit my grandma/call her more often.
7. Try to straighten out my dad, it's not fair for him to ruin other people's live too.
8. Manage my money better, and save more.
9. Read a book a month at least.
10. Enjoy life.

Happy New Year everyone.
