Hello everyone!
- My name is Autumn and I'm from Texas in the US. I am actually more of a "quarterly lolita," meaning I wear lolita maybe four times a year >.< I consider myself more of a fairy kei girl. But I love designing costumes and I love historical fashion.

Well I have taken off all the lace. It does look better, but I think my major problem with it is that the actual ties in the back (non-detachable) are 3/4" (2cm) wider than the false sash in the front and there isn't enough seam allowance on it to really widen it either. Also, I guess I'd like to remove it so that it helps make the bodice look more elongated and nicer.
I was really wanting to know if there was any kind of trick to keeping the gathers in a piece while you are seam ripping it.

I think that the ties are wider because they lend themselves to a fuller bow.
I'm looking forward to seeing the finished project.
