Introduction, Unregistered Project Completions, and Project Registration <3
Hi! I'm a bit nervous, but here goes.
I've been admiring the Lolita fashion for almost a year, but I'm a miser and I couldn't even spend $60 on a nice Bodyline dress. So I decided I should sew my own clothes. I know it will be quite a challenge and will take lots of learning, but I'm happy to do it. Until recently, I've been hand-sewing, and even managed to make a skirt while doing that (picture below), but it was extremely difficult and frustrating. But I've received a wonderful sewing machine, so I hope to get started!
Let's start with the registration.
Project Title : Blue and Black Fancy High-Waisted Skirt
Short Project Description: It's hard to put it in short terms...
Projected Deadline: Hopefully in less than two weeks.
Pattern(s) Used: None, just sketches since I'm modifying clothing.
Materials needed: Old dress, old skirt, ribbon and 4 buttons.
Challenges or obstacles : Sewing machine issues. It's been breaking thread and working on my nerves.

Did you make changes from original plan? No ruffles in front.
Did you discover something you want to share? I just kinda wanted to share something odd. *giggle* I used an old gym shirt for this!
How happy are you with the result? 80%. I want to decorate it more, and fix some spots where the sewing machine hopped. Also, I'm not so sure about these colours together. But it is very comfortable.

Project Start Date Um...I can't remember. More than six days ago.
Planned Finish Date Didn't have one.

Did you make changes from original plan? I didn't have an original plan.
Did you discover something you want to share? Hand-sewing a whole skirt is terrible. Also, elastic can be a pain.
How happy are you with the result? 90%. I wish I had used matching thread. I like the flare that comes from a gathered skirt, though.

Did you discover something you want to share? Wire edged ribbon makes a good headdress base.
