Unregistered Project : Overdress and Projection Registration : Empire line dress

Jul 31, 2013 14:19

So I had a dilemma a couple of weeks ago.  I could not decide which of the two dresses below to make.

Anyway I asked my FB friends and the poll said that I should make the dress on the left.

And here it is.

and here is the back

Project Title - Apron/Overdres
Start Date - 4 days ago
Planned Finished Date- Before the end of July
Actual Finished Date - 30 July
Did you make changes from the original plan? - Apart from a couple minor alterations to make the bodice fit nicer, I followed the instructions from the Autumn/Winter book 2 mook.
How happy are you with the results? - 5/5!  I am very happy with the outcome.  It is always hard to judge how a dress will turn out with kimono fabric due to the width of the bolt but it turned out lovely.  Even my partner loves it.

You can read more about this project here.
