Hopeful project regestration
Project Title : Forest Fruits skirt
Short Project Description: I plan to make a simple gathered skirt out of a brown fabric with a reinforced half elastic waistband. There will be an invisible zipper in one seam, accompanied by 2 buttons in the waistband, and a pocket in the other (got to have pockets).
Projected Deadline: February 20; my great-grandmothers 104th birthday party.
Pattern(s) Used: Modified beyond recognition dress pattern from a local sewing magazine .
Materials needed: Brown printed fabric, waistband reinforcement, elastic, red zipper, red pompom trim and yellow flower buttons.
Challenges or obstacles : Unfortunally my dear sewing machine has been out of the running for quite some time now, and though I HATE using anything different I can't go without sewing anymore. I don't know if there is going to be another birthday of my great-grandmother and I want to look good for her and make it special. So I'm going to try to use my mother’s sewing machine... the reason she isn't using it is that it started smoking out of nowhere.... so I hope I can get it to work (at least long enough to finish this little project)
Project Title : Fur boot toppers
Short Project Description : I want to finish my outfit with an accessory which doesn't make it to wild, so I opted for some boot toppers. I have some left over fur (from a LARP outfit I made for a dear friend of mine) which matches the skirt fabric very well.
Projected Deadline: February 20; my great-grandmothers 104th birthday party.
Pattern(s) Used: Self drafted; I'm basically going to wing it.
Materials needed: Brown fur, eye and hook closure, maybe some reinforcement, maybe some skirt fabric for lining, maybe a little red ribbon to make a pretty decoration closure.
Challenges or obstacles : Same as above, I prefer not making things by hand, but for this small projects it could be done.
