Project Title: Antique Cards Skirt

Did you make changes from original plan? The whole way. My budget only allowed me to get 2 yards with no plan when I bought it in a fabric store 2 hours away. So when I started to work it out, I couldn't decide what I wanted to do but I knew it had to be simple. I went though a couple pages of sketches, trying to decide if I wanted ruffles, or just simple tucks and so ribbon or what. I decided not to buy any complimentary fabric and made a simple, 3 gore, box-pleat skirt with one ruffle below.
Did you discover something you want to share? 2 yards is NOT a lot in Lolita terms, but you can also find something to do with it ;)
How happy are you with the result? Yes. But I DEFINITELY want to get more of this fabric and make an amazing JSK or OP with it!

Did you discover something you want to share? CHECK YOUR ZIPPERS BEFORE SEW! Ug. Unfortunately, I bought and put in zippers with closed bottoms into the vest and then realized...oh. Back to the store...
How happy are you with the result? VERY! AH! I loves it.

Did you discover something you want to share? Since my first chiffon blouse was a fiasco, I decided to KEEP IT SIMPLE until I have completely conquered the fabric. Still kinda scares me but that was the point of this blouse ;)
How happy are you with the result? Completely! Small step towards conquering my 'fear' of chiffon.

Did you discover something you want to share? Don't throw away "big scraps" you can always use them some how! This skit was entirely made out of "big scraps".
How happy are you with the result? yup!

Did you discover something you want to share? If you can't find lace in a certain color *say....red* you can also just buy red "special occasion" lace and use the nice, finished edge ;)
How happy are you with the result? Incredibly. I LOVES it.
