Need help with Spoonflower formatting

Hello:

I have asked spoonflower several times and they keep saying the same thing so, I don't think they understand what I'm saying.  I have also asked others but without success so, I'm hoping someone here can help me.

I want to print this:



as a single large image for a skirt like she did using spoonflower like the JetJ painting series jsk.

Im confused because my width for the overall image keeps stopping at 26 but I know that other people who used spoonflower were able to print a single large image like here:

my image is at a high resolution that i changed to 40mb and 150 as required on the spoonflower instructions before I uploaded or am I reading that wrong? Someone told me that they were able to upload 149mb which i thought you weren't able to do? Should I not reduce the image to 150dpi before I upload?

I scanned my image to an extremely high resolution (1200) so that I can play with it when reducing it.  (I think i need someone to walk me through this..lol).
