Did you draft the first dress yourself? It looks so neat and professional. How might I make such a dress? How long have you been sewing?

Thank you! And yes, I did draft my pattern myself. I have been sewing for about 14 years, since I was 8. I am always in my senior year of going to college for costume technology so...that helps too haha

Well, I started out making things from commercial patterns - mostly simply dresses and halloween costumes. Then, after I learned to pattern, I made simple dresses, skirts and blouses. As I got better, I started striving to do more complicated pieces or whatever I wanted to add to my wardrobe. I sew just about every day - whether for class, productions or personal projects - so it keeps me growing.
