Alright, it's been decided

I'm chopping off my hair in December. I've never had my hair this long before, and frankly it's really annoying. I look unkept all the time and the moment it gets gross, it gets REALLY GROSS. I HATE IT. I wanted to cut my hair before I moved here, but I kind of didn't because Mike likes it long (even though he tells me to do what I want). So I told myself I'll keep it long until he visits me (3 weeks ago) and just wait until December  to chop it off and donate.

This article mentioned some concerns that resonate with my own insecurities about not having long hair (I'm thinking of going above the shoulder line this time!)  and after reading this, I'm honestly really excited for my hair cut. I'm currently looking at how I can donate my hair and what hair cut I should get.

Here's the article, check it out!

-update

I don't want to do the "Asian Mom look" but I was originally thinking something that is a take on the A line bob. Here are some samples of what I'm thinking about. The only downside is Alexa has naturally wavy hair or she makes it look like it's natural and I am too lazy to do that. So it would be flat most of the time and look very different than this.

BUT I really like the versatility of her hairstyle!

I also tried to look for  short hairstyles on asian celebrities. I like Hitachin's look when she cut her hair. Maybe something like this without the austerity that is Victoria Beckham's hair (or is it her face? I can't really tell). I think it's pretty short on the back, perhaps those who went to her concert can confirm. Did it look good? I'm kind of hesitant about this only because my mom has a very similar haircut. GOAL: NO MOM HAIR

I also like this less whispy, tenser look but i don't think I can pull it off

Here's the front, ignore the black guy who sings in japanese on the right. If you don't know, he's some dude who's quite famous in japan right now. Japanese people REALLY like black guys. no joke

I also found some random korean actress and really like the look of her hair. and it looks low maintenance.

What do y'all think? My fear is to have my mom's hair or similar enough that I get crap about it
