New pattern company!
Hello to my fellow chubby sewists! I've just discovered a new pattern company based out of Portland, OR called Colette Patterns, and I figured I would pass the news on to all of you. The patterns aren't specifically designed for plus sizes, but they do go up to what seems to be a straight size 18 (as opposed to a sewing size 18), and the designs, to me, are very curve-friendly. Plus the pattern booklets are positively adorable!
Anyway, I broke down this weekend and ordered the Chantilly. I'll need to size it up a bit--it will require a full bust adjustment, for starters, and adding some width at the waist and hip--but I'm more excited about making this dress than most other patterns I've purchased lately. It's so ridiculously cute! Of course if this happens in a timely fashion I will post an update here...
