request some anime recs, & HP quiz
I'd like to be able to watch a good anime series over break, I think. Something relatively obscure that's got good characters, animation, and plot.
I'm in to cinematic and visually stimulating series lately, in which the characters don't wear dorky looking clothes that are trying too hard to be futuristic or trendy. (lewl, uniforms or period clothes are a way to solve this methinks x3;)
If anyone has any series to rec, I'd really appreciate it. :3
While we're on the subject: has anyone out there seen Dragonaut: The Resonance? It's an anime by Gonzo (the animation company that made Gankutsuou).
I've watched the first episode-and-a-half now, but I still can't decide how I feel about it. One on hand, the voice acting is good, and the animation is nice in places, though not super-impressive. However, I'm not crazy about the character design, and have issues with the sporadic fanservice that keeps cropping up. The problem is that I can't figure out which side of the line Dragonaut is on for me. I get the feeling the male characters are intended to add a bishie factor, but none are particularly attractive to me at this point because their personalities are all entirely mediocre. Also, I have to put up with having boob!shots thrust upon me every so often.
Anyway, I still can't decide at this point whether it's worth watching or not, so if anyone has an opinion about the show, I'd be happy to hear it.
Or, you know, recs for anime in general.

Lewl, I swear I don't do this on purpose.
This is such a weird juxtaposition of characters, but it's scary-accurate. See, my personality has several layers to it. There's my subtle yet anti-social shell, beneath which is friendship, a fierce loyalty and sense of justice, and under that is... a crazy psychopathic bitch, apparently.
Fair warning not to push my buttons, people? I should think so. x)
