LE GAH.
Just got back from a brutal 8+ hours in the photo lab. That's an hour per roll of film I developed. What is the world coming to!?!?

Anyways, I finished Deathly Hallows early Saturday evening.
I loved it. ♥

HOMG. Wand!subtext, anyone? I cannot help but notice it. x3;

GOD I KNOW!! There was this one passage somewhere... I can't remember where, but it was reeeeeeeally suggestive. How could JKR write this and not know how suggestive this is!?

kthx, JKR, my most favourite characters are dead. And for some reason, I really don't mind. That is how wonderful your books are!

Same here, for the most part. But I had by far the most trouble with the especially innocent characters dying; that being Dobby and Collin Creevey. Just so eager to help, worshipping Harry without fail, never arguing or questioning him... and then dying for it. It just tears me apart (not that the other deaths weren't sad, but these especially upset me). It's also why I'm glad Neville and Luna didn't die.

Hedwig. I am really terribly sorry that I am not even sorry. I wanted to be a little sad, but I couldn't manage it. Every other death had me feeling at least a sting of sad pity. But this one felt, altogether, pretty unimportant.

At Hedwig's death, the first thing I thought was something along the lines of, "OMFG they killed Hedwig! ...THE BASTARDS!" South Park has apparently grown on me even though I've only ever seen two episodes... @_@ And then about five seconds later, I thought about that stupid babb chronicals fic where someone said, "...and then they shot Hedwig!"

Tonks/Remus is LOVE. I was so, so happy for them throughout the whole book.

I would've been happy had Remus not been an idiot and a coward near the beginning.. geez... but at least Harry brought him to his senses.

Fred. :( I confess, my eyes only stung a little at first. But it was Percy's reaction that brought me over the edge into actual weeping.

I KNOW, I KNOW!! D':

Neville = Herbology Professor SQUEE I TOLD YOU SO! :DDD

I had believed in your theory of Neville becomming the herbology professor for a long time, but as I was reading the last hundred pages I wondered if maybe he'd become the D.A.D.A. teacher. But of course he'd choose herbology!

"Who wants to be in Slytherin/Hufflepuff? I think I'd leave, wouldn't you?"

That part made me smile. There was also:
"Crookshanks? Are you a wizard or what?" - Hermione to Ron (HBP)
" 'There's no wood?' Are you a witch or what?" (or something to that extent) - Ron to Hermione (PS/SS)

And I've gotta say, Snape has completely won me over in this book, after years of me not caring. LONG LIVE SEVERUS SNA--oh wait... D:

By the way, I counted 21 or 22 deaths in this book alone (holy crap!!). Do you know if there is anywhere that lists every single character who's died in the Harry Potter series? I'd love to get my hands on such a list, but either my researching skills suck or there doesn't seem to be one anywhere...

Oh yes! Thanks for reminding me: I also loved that mirror between Ron/Hermione very much. ♥

I also thought of the "and then they shot Hedwig!" fic there too. Oh Babb, what would we do without you? :D

Gahaha. Snape is just the best hero ever, and by August, everyone will have been converted into the folds of Snapeism.
The reason I started liking him as early as PS, though, was because I was amused by his dry snark.
"Would you like me to do it now?" asked Snape, his voice heavy with irony. "Or would you like a few moments to compose an epitaph?" ♥ ♥ ♥
