Reaction Post: Legend of Korra ep 10

It's going to be okay, alright? Lin Bei Fong is just going to go train in secret for a year Iroh-style and come back all beefed up but this time as a badass normal.
IT'S GOING TO HAPPEN, OKAY? I CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT THIS WOMAN IN MY LIFE.
That, or Korra will just find a way to reverse Amon's bending-taking, but that's more of an end-of-series plot point, and I need my Bei Fong back ASAP.
I'm sure I'm preaching to the choir here when I cite these examples of awesomeness:
I lovelovelove the mirroring here with Lin taking down the airships alone in a throwback to the way Toph, Sokka and Suki took on the Fire Nation blimps at the end of Last Airbender. Throw myself at the blimps and rip them apart? No problem. It's in my blood. And also, I AIN'T EVEN BLIND. ♥ ♥ ♥
Whenever I rewatch the Last Airbender finale, I fixate on that scene the most. Zuko + Katara vs. Azula is a woefully unfair fight what with Azula off the deep end, and Aang vs. Ozai gets pretty DBZ-standoffish, IMO. But watching two badass normals and a BLIND GIRL take out AN ARMY OF BLIMPS FULL OF FIRE MAGES will never NOT be awesome.
Also, I am excited by that little snippet there of next-gen!General Iroh, by which I mean Zuko Part II.
Lulz, dat voice. RUFIO! RUFIO! RU! FI! OHHHHHHH! >:D
And Lin, if you don't come back right away, I'll take my girl!crush to Asami instead, because that girl is kicking ass and taking names and she doesn't even have any superpowers.
I've reached the conclusion that nothing I've seen in TV or film this year even compares to Korra. Game of Thrones had some wonderful points, and Avengers is hands-down the most fun film I've seen in a long time, but Korra is just amazing.
Next week is S1 finale time. Hold on, everybody. We'll get through this.
In other news, Nic and I decided it was time to re-watch Wall-E this morning, since we hadn't seen it in probably years. It destroyed me. By the end, we were crying so hard we were clinging to each other and openly sobbing and everything. It was freaking intense. :'(
