"Make Something Cool Everyday"

I've been having terrible artblock and getting depressed all the time lately. It's just so hard to stay positive.
I have no idea who started it, but some people over on Flikr have this slogan "Make Something Cool Every Day". I've seen some promotional illustrations for it, and it's really given me the strength to keep creating, even with the lack of job/money/purpose. Being able to sit back at the end of the day and say "I made something cool" is such a great feeling! So, here's what I've made over the past few days:

My first try at making a bump/height map! I don't like the big spiky eyesore of doom in the middle there, but everything else is looking pretty okay. C:

Had a go at creating a continent/water planet texture. Those shadows are pretty extreme.
Also, some serious global warming going on in this world, because damn those polar ice caps came out TINY!

Speaking of tiny.. some more pixel inventory icons. My favourites are the kunai and the meat cleaver. >:D

Composite of a bunch of random sketches, all female OCs (and some anatomy practice thrown in as well).

Concept environment sketch of a shipyard where flying ships dock. Mostly a practice in perspective / ship design. I'm going to work on it further digitally after I fix the wonky bits. :3

ETA: Practice drawing my OCs Rasalas and Everett. I have a hard time drawing believable interactions between characters sometimes, and it just looks like they're floating in their own space. I wanted to flesh out their proportions and then draw them together. >_>; This is actually from a month ago or so.

I like little teen Ras down in the bottom left corner there. x3;;;;

Moving on, I've been asking the interwebs lately about ideas for frugal/free dates I can take the boy on. We can't go out on dates anymore, and it's downright depressing. Most of the "solutions" are pretty stupid, and not actually cheap. Example: shopping on a budget at a thrift store. This sort of activity doesn't encourage us to save money at all, and we'd likely end up buying a ton of stuff we don't want/need besides.
TBH, we were both pretty frugal back when we started dating. What we need now is to spend an absolute minimum of cash, say, only shelling out for train tickets, and doing an activity together that is completely free. Out of a lack of inspiration, we usually just throw on Battlestar Galactica or Doctor Who and veg out. Which I love, but I'm looking for some variety.
Any ideas?
