Disappearing act is over and done with now. Happy 2009, all!
I've been hermiting away at home with my new DS and all the pretty Pokémon that live in it.
Spent the days leading up to New Year's keeping Nic company at his place, which was great as always. He dropped me off back home to go to a party with one of his other social circles, so I just went to bed early instead of staying up for midnight.
This is my lousy excuse for not having socialized with anyone else.
Nikki and Rach probably want to murder me, but I swear I did not mean to ignore them this break. It's stupid, because all the time I was free to hang out with them I simply did not have the energy, and then as soon as I felt like socializing I ended up going out of town instead.
Mum and Fay and I are (probably) seeing Doubt tomorrow. I want to see The Curious Case of Benjamin Button as well and asdfghjkl; I fear I just won't have the time.
End-of-holiday regret is setting in too. I'm suddenly aware that there are books I haven't read and projects I haven't started and it's far, far too late.
A Sidenote: ahaha it is fun marathoning Buffy with Nic and then coming home to catch the Bones marathon with Mum because LOL the shift in gears that my brain has to make with seeing David Boreanaz as Angel versus Booth is pretty strange. And I keep expecting the corpses to come back to life and wondering why the killer isn't an awesomely cheesy monster.
