Little Buddy?

There's a new security guard in the lobby of my office building. I came back from lunch today, and as I swiped my badge and walked through he blocked me way and said "Hey little buddy. Let me see that." I said "See what?". To which he replied, "I need to see your badge".

So. I took it off and gave it to him.

"Good enough?"

He handed it back and said, "Just doing my job, buddy".

You know when someone calls you "buddy", and you're not "buddies"? Yeah. Fuck that.
