I read a story in which Padme was slowly turned over to Palpatine's machinations, becoming a unknowing ally to thte Dark. Interesting.
She certainly had enough contact with him, what if she was force-sensitive? As a Sith apprentice her role in the canon Ep I-III certainly would have been far more intriguing. Especially her and Anakin's sudden romance.
