Summary: Buffy is killed by the First at the end of Chosen. But that will not stop her from setting things right.
REC: This is a kickass Buffy-centric story. It's all that what had been so very fun on the show, girls being powerful and doing things to make things right damnit. And things are not alright in a major way. Buffy!verse's Earth is controlled by the First, without anyone knowing it. SG1!verse is and is becoming more so daily corrupt and too eerily satisfied just being not as bad as the Goa'uld.
Buffy is powerful in this story, yes, but also vulnerable and weak and she does realize that her style of command is lacking. She learns to listen to her better and thus gets better at being a Slayer. And while Buffy is the main character and hero in this story, all the other characters get more then their due! Joyce is wow, Hank is grr, Jack is hilarious, Teal'c is brilliant, I even like Sam here! Dawn is pretty awesome, Faith is wow indeed and the Asgard are FUN! The Goa'uld and the Ori are there but aren't the main bad dudes, which is refreshing in a BTVS/SG1 crossover. Giles is cool once he appears as is Xander.
