Okay, so I confess I'm not from Ohio, but I've been to at least 20 states other than Indiana (where I live), including Ohio. And out of IN, OH, KY, TN, SC, NC, VA, WV, IL, MI, WI, IA, MN, SD, NE, KS, WY, ID, WA, OR, and MT (hope you don't mind the abbreviations, as spelling them out would have made my reply... longer than it had to be), I have to admit that Ohio probably has the worst roads. Virginia and West Virginia definitely had the strangest roads (also, speed limits enforced by freakin' AIRCRAFT), but Ohio... has pretty bad roads. That said, Ohio is way easier to navigate than the eastern states that I've visited. Seemingly, that is a trait of the western states (probably because they didn't have to build the roads AROUND stuff, where they would have had to around the settlements on the eastern seaboard), but it is notable because Ohio is right on that border between orderly highways and absolute chaos. As for trees... Unless I'm very much mistaken, they have similar to what we have in Indiana--that is, both coniferous and deciduous trees. I think they have more coniferous than we do, but I don't actually think that's a huge difference.
