Eee yay Zoe! *hearts her*

Ok, awkward grocery store story time! So a few days ago I was at the grocery store, and one of the guys that worked there asked if he could help me find anything. I asked if they had baby bok choi and he said no, just the big kind. We chatted for a minute about what I was making and he suggested going down to Salt Lake City to look. That was the end of the conversation.

Then I went in to the grocery store today and as I was walking through the produce section I heard someone say something I didn't really catch. After I got a few feet further I realized it was the same guy as the time before, and that basically he had yelled across the store: "find any bok choi yet?" So me, being awkward, just kept walking and pretended not to hear, and basically fled the store.

This and the conversation I had on Saturday at the liquor store (I handed the woman my ID but she just kept sliding things through and smiled and said she recognized me) are making me think I need to wear some kind of a disguise.

But tell me about your awkward classroom incident!

Hee I'm glad you liked it, it was my first time writing in either fandom but the story just sort of poured out.

No worries! I totally know how stressful this time of year is, thank you so much for even doing it! :D

Ha! Bok choi is fun to say. But things like that happen here all the time - everyone either knows me, knows my mom, or went to school with my dad/sister. Grarrr.

Awkward classroom incident - I stayed late after my morning college class before heading back to the high school (I'm dual-enrolled) to turn in a paper and ask a question. For background, it's a psychology course, I wrote a paper about transgenderism, and I have really short hair and was wearing a sweatshirt at the time (I don't know if my appearance somehow contributed to what comes next or not...)

Anyways, I turn in my paper, and my teacher turns to me and says "Are you a big part of the club scene in [larger town 45 mins from here]?"

So I looked at her, and I said "What do you mean?" and she got this horrified look on her face, and I was like, (because [larger town] is like a gay mecca around here), "Oh, no, wait! I'm not gay, but some family members and friends are which is why I'm interested in this kind of stuff."

So she says "Oh, Ok. I just couldn't find any of the gay bars around here, and I thought you might know where to look."

0.o It was awkward to say the least.

And I'm really sorry, but neither of my internet browsers will let me upload stuff right now. I'm downloading a new browser as we speak, so chapter one is on its way to you soon!
