Birthday Glee
I have the BEST friends! **still jumping up and down in glee**
First, Nancy took me out for dinner and drinks in TO, and bought me the UK QaF CD. Fun fun. Then when I got back home, Jehn (of the special satellite) brought me cake and chocolates. Yummmmy.
On my actual birthday, Jen and Amy had told me to "be ready at 11:30am" -- I had no idea what they had planned. So they showed up at my apartment with a HUGE home-made card with a Brian/Gale theme! YAY!! And attached to the card was a personalized crossword puzzle. All the clues relate to me and my life (or my obsession. heh). Just the time and effort it took to do that blows me away. Then they gave me presents -- including Rockets. THEY FOUND ROCKETS!!! The card and the Rockets would have been enough to have me smiling all day, but included in the presents was $40 -- with a note saying that it was to be used "at the destination of your surprise road trip".
So off we hop into the car, and they took me to Casino Niagara! I broke even on the day -- I consider that to be success at the Casino! -- and THEN they took me to dinner. Seriously, how awesome are my friends? :)
Then last night, miachen called with birthday wishes, and my pressie from r_romantic is in the mail. Wheeeee!!
I am also addicted to "I Am What I Am". Great song! Does anybody who has seen UK-QaF know what context it's used in on the show? **Damn DVD player... I really need to sit down and fight with it some more so I can watch those UK-QaF dvd's...**
