Henry Rollins

Tonight Jen and I went to see Henry Rollins in Toronto. If I'd known how close Convocation Hall is to Queen West, I'd have suggested that we get there earlier and do some pub crawling. As it was, we just barely got to the venue with 20 minutes to spare.

1. He does a wicked impression of a cat bringing up a hair ball.
2. He thinks Bambi is kinda sexy in a come-hither I might look chaste and innocent but I want you to take me now bad boy kind of way.
3. Until this year, he did not know what anal beads were. (And here I thought that everybody knew of anal beads. Heh.)
4. He was hit on and then rejected by a male NYC taxi driver. Poor Henry.
5. His best line in his upcoming movie didn't make the cut because the cameras weren't set up properly or something. It was a very funny line.
6. He looks hotter, buffer, and more rested than last year.
7. He also looks greyer, but it totally works on him.
8. He still skewers George Bush with a sharp wit and sharper tongue.
9. His assistant makes a point to leap out and scare him on a weekly basis. Henry jumps and screams like a girl.
10. He traveled alone on the Trans-Siberian Express last year, and told many funny stories, which made me think of quinn222 and her Adventures series. It all comes back to QaF, baby.

After the show, Jen and I stood outside in the COLD and DRIZZLING RAIN for ALMOST AN HOUR in order to get a photo and autograph. I told Henry that the photo we took last year didn't turn out and he was all "WHY?" in this BIG booming voice. We blamed the photo developing place. Jen got her View magazine signed and now plans to get it framed, and then I took a photo of Jen and Henry which will hopefully turn out. *fingers crossed*

I just shook Henry's hand and told him it was nice to meet him. YAY ME FOR NOT MUMBLING INCOHERENTLY, BABBLING, OR ACTING LIKE A FANGIRL. Although I admit I have no idea what he said back to me because I was all *mentally cheering that I sound completely normal* and so, ya know, I didn't actually catch the response. Something about "taking it easy", maybe? Also, he has a grip of steel, man.

Now I have to take a hot bath because I am so cold I am shivering. Eeeek.
