I am so sorry you're not feeling well! Hope the yuckiness passes quickly.

Neil Gaiman is one of my favorite authors. I haven't read this one yet, but I need to. Also, I LOVED The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches. Made me cry at one point even (but I'm a sap, it's inevitable).

I hope you like the Lisa Jewell book. I've read a couple of hers and have enjoyed them both.

As much as I love zombie stories I won't even open a book anymore if it even hints its the beginning of a series.

I've tried reading Neal Gaiman, but he doesn't seem to work for me.

I loved House In the Cerulean Sea, so I may give Secret Society a try, especially since you gave it five stars.

I hope the diaorrhea passes without too much issue. Keep up the fluids! My sister has just had something similar and ended up badly dehydrated and with low sodium, which put her in hospital. She's out now and doing better. I hope yours doesn't get to that.

It's weird because I loved the Half Bad trilogy, and don't remember the part you're describing in Half Lost! It must have picked up after that, or else we just have a different way of looking at things! I must say that I was happy with how the trilogy ended, even though it wasn't quite what I expected, and it was good to see it just end, and not get dragged into half a dozen not as good novels just to make money, like some seem to!

I hope you enjoy your next book!
